Midstream Estate is as vibrant as ever with new developments and changes taking place in our midst. The new road, Midstream Ridge Drive, is completed and being used by over a 1000 vehicles a day. This new road which extends from the traffic circle just before Midfield and joins up with the olifantsfontein road by way of an impressive intersection, has given many residents a completely new avenue to travel to the east or towards the R21. The road was developed with such minimal impact on the residents that it’s stands to reason that many may not be aware of the fact that it is already in use and available as an alternative route in and out of the estate. If you have not taken a drive out in that direction we invite you to do so. You will find a series of exciting developments on route! Completed buildings such as Midstream Ridge Primary, the Midstream Ridge Home Owner’s Association Offices, the Midstream Ridge Gate House and the Midstream Ridge Pre-Primary stand proud alongside the new road. The Almost completed school hall is an outstanding facility of Midstream Ridge Primary and further evidence of Bondev’s commitment to excellence.
Another new development in our midst which is now in clear view as far away as from Midstream Ridge is the Mediclinic Hospital. At a quick glance it almost looks complete but we still have a few months to wait before the hospital referred to as “the flagship” of the Mediclinic group opens in our estate. The positive effect that the addition of this facility has on our estate should not be underestimated. I took the liberty of browsing on the internet looking for interesting news about it and found many national and international media releases about the truly outstanding facility that is being built right here in our own Midstream Hill. It is an interesting fact finding quest if you type in, Mediclinic Centurion, which was how the hospital was initially referred to. You will even find a facebook page reference which takes you to the Architects facebook. They have posted photo’s which lead you step by step through the building process, from foundation to where they stand today. After viewing these photo’s the enormity of the project became real to me and I was able to appreciate it on a different level. The insight gained was well worth the few minutes spent and I can recommend it to all our residents.
Life is always on a fast track rush to somewhere, therefore the broadening of Brakfontein road is another new development that Bondev has undertaken to improve the flow of traffic at peak time traffic hours in and out of the estate. The new road developments towards the east on Midstream Ridge Drive and the broadening of Brakfontein road all have a positive impact on the general flow of traffic in and outward bound, which inturn extends to a positive impact on our lives. We all look forward to the completion of the improvement of Brakfontein road!
Well with all these new developments one has to wonder if they have an impact on the growth of our property investments within the estate. The sales figures show that property values have increased annually over the past few years with a thousand rand per square meter. This growth as I said can clearly be seen in the actual sales figures measured in rand per square meter. This is very good news for any property owner or potential investor as the growth proves that our property values are increasing in a positive and stable market.
